Dr. Gregory Suares earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After two years of post-baccalaureate studies at the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, he attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and received his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Suares Suares then joined AmeriCorps and served with the National Preparedness & Response Corps providing disaster relief operations and community education with the American Red Cross, SE Louisiana Chapter. He then completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While a student, he worked for several years as an Emergency Response Technician, providing 911 coverage on the Tulane campus, Chalmette, Louisiana, and Bethesda/Chevy Chase, Maryland. Dr. Suares joined The Emergency Group, Inc. (TEG) in July 2008. In addition to providing emergency care at the Queen’s Medical Center, he holds a faculty position with the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and is the clerkship director for emergency medicine.
